Most common causes
- Bleed mismatch: You designed for bleed but exported a no‑bleed size (or vice‑versa).
- Wrong Canva custom size: The document size doesn’t match KDP’s trim size requirements.
- Resize after designing: Elements get pushed outside the safe area after resizing.
How to fix it
- Confirm your chosen trim size in KDP (e.g., 6×9).
- Decide Bleed = Yes if any backgrounds/art touch the page edge.
- Set Canva to the correct custom size. If Bleed = Yes, add 0.125" to each side (0.25" total to width and height).
- Export as PDF Print and re-upload.

Quick example
6×9 with bleed → Canva custom size should be 6.125 × 9.25 in (adds 0.125" per side).
